And you may not know what to do with her before she’s gone.

And all of that is interesting and a good look – it’s a look I am fond of – but for Dani it didn’t feel right.
There’s a certain kind of deliberateness to her style – the way she presents herself:

It’s a fun idea, but Dani has an assertiveness to her that really changes the dynamic in a way that is sexy and fun.
There was also an older prototype of this idea:
The video prompts in Grok were fairly straightforward:

We needed a few shots to flesh this out into a short story:

So we switched to Qwen 2.0 Edit:

Switching to Qwen and Wan 2.6, there are some obvious drops in both image and video quality – you’re not going to be able to perfectly match what was made in Grok.
This was also an instance where Grok’s video rate limits created obstacles, as partway through the production of the video we ran out of 720p generations, and switched to 480p. I don’t think it’s that noticeable in the final video, as we did a lot with color correction and filters to disguise it.
We also made the decision to finish this, even if it wasn’t perfect.
To a degree, this video was a proof of concept regarding a hybrid workflow where multiple AI image and video models are used to create a final short film.
This is also the most explicit video that we’ve made up to this point, and that was deliberate. There needed to be a cathartic visual for climax in order for the build up to make sense.
Overall, I am happy with the final version – there have been a lot of variations on this playing out in my head for a long time, and to see a version of that spring to life is still exciting for me.
You’ll see more of Dani in the future.
